Moraine Estate Winery
The winery and vineyard overlook Okanagan Lake, on the signature bench lands of Naramata. From its shelf-like location above striking clay bluffs, Moraine peers over the landscape and water of Okanagan Lake. These iconic glaciated white clay cliffs inspire the winery’s land-formed name – Moraine.
The thoughtful planting of the vineyard, with western exposure, permits the vines to capture every ray of sunlight from mid-morning to nightfall, combined with a cooling breeze, delivers beautifully ripe and flavourful grapes. This exposure is seen in the ten-acre Anastasia estate vineyard, at 26 years old is planted with Merlot, Pinot Gris, Viognier, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Riesling. The smaller Sophia vineyard at 5.5 acres, is located closer to Penticton and planted with 8 year old Pinot Noir vines.
Visitors will catch their breath and delight in the sweeping views across the sparkling blue waters of Okanagan Lake. A glass of wine on the patio offers one the chance to pause, consider the cliffhangers in their own lives and see why Moraine wines are the perfect expression of Naramata. Moraine wines are ideal for sipping while contemplating the moments that come next and to drink them for pure enjoyment alone.
